Fountainbridge Winter Festival Jane Jones - Denise Havard - EDI Antonia Dickson BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Today volunteers and families will spread holiday cheer on the EDI development site at the Fountainbridge Winter Festival 2015. Headed by the Fountainbridge Canalside Initiative (FCI) and supported by EDI, the festival is being brought together in partnership with the Tollcross Community Council. The event will see a performance from the Edinburgh Samba Band, Christmas decoration-making workshops, an appearance from local artist Tim Vincent Smith and his piano dome and the lighting ceremony of a Christmas tree made entirely of Ôup-cycledÕ material. The event is a celebration of the meanwhile-use projects coming together and to create awareness of what is on offer at India Quay. India Quay is a vibrant new waterside development in Edinburgh only minutes away from Princes Street. Community is at heart of India Quay and in preparation for the residential development, the unused land will be a space for different community projects including the WikiHouse.
