The Edinburgh Scrap Store is a unique resource, where scrap materials can be donated, stored, collected by members and re-used.

In our container sited at granton:hub, unwanted materials can be accessed by anyone with a membership, enabling scrap to take on new life and to be used in an infinite amount of ways.

The Scrap Store promotes creativity and environmental awareness whilst diverting unnecessary waste from landfill.

Everyone is welcome. Come and find inspiration, materials and something you never knew you were looking for!

Accessing the scrap materials is run on a simple membership basis. Details of how to become a member can be found here: Membership

If you have scrap to donate, find the details here: Donations

Information about what materials are presently available in the scrapstore can be found here: Materials

We also run workshops and have events at granton:hub, as well as in our special bus workshop sited in the Grove Community Garden, Fountainbridge and at different venues for various groups. For details of upcoming workshops and events and how to book a workshop contact click here.

The Edinburgh scrapstore is a not for profit organisation that is run by volunteers, we hope to eventually be able to pay people for their time.
Any profit made in the future will go back into running free community workshops.

The Edinburgh Scrapstore is supported by granton:hub, Seedbed, Fountainbridge Canalside Inititaive,  Vegware Community Fund, Edinburgh Council-Waste Action Grant and EDI.
